Organic Carob Cultivation
Carob is one of the most advantageous products for organic agriculture. Its adaptation to arid and poor soils, encountering few diseases and pests, and being grown largely pesticide-free in Turkey make it a relatively easy product to transition to organic production. However, "growing without pesticides" is not the same as "being certified organic": An organic product is a product that has been documented by production, registration and independent audit in accordance with the legislation.
