As the number of scientific studies on carob increases, expressions such as "lowers cholesterol", "balances blood sugar", "strengthens immunity" are more common on product labels and advertisements. However, both in the European Union and in Turkey, the use of health claims in foods is subject to strict rules, and the existence of a scientific study does not mean that the expression can be used on the label.
